The Weddington Warriors destroy East meck in the second half of their first playoff game. This game took place Tuesday at 7pm in the Weddington high school’s main gym.
Your leading scorers for the Warriors consist of KJ Younger with 29 points; and Grant Hamilton with 25. The leading rebounders were Grant Hamilton with 5; and KJ Younger, Jaden Nnaji, and Jack Ellyson all had 3. Lastly Jack Ellyson, and Mason Zepp lead the team in assists with 2 each.
Now the leading scorers on East Meck Include Ahmari Hicks with 20 points; Bryson Heath with 11; and Jordan Buzzard with 9. Their Leading rebounders were Jordan buzzard with 10; and James Mciver with 6. Finally we have Bryson Heath who led the team in assists with 3.
The game went back and forth throughout the entire first half. With the scores being tied up at 30 to 30 at the start of the second half. When asked about how his team pulled out this victory coach G. Ellington stated, “It really comes down to how our team powers through in the second half.” This was very much the case as the Warriors pulled ahead early in the second half, and widened the gap further as time went on. The final score ended up being 67 to 52.
