In the year 2016, football player Travis Kelce played “Kiss, Marry, or Kill” during an interview, and the choices were Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, and Ariana Grande. He said, “Ariana is kill, unfortunately. I love you, but you’re gone. And then Taylor Swift would be the kiss, and then Katy Perry would be the marry.” When the dating rumors started, this interview resurfaced and went viral.

On an episode of their New Heights podcast with his brother, Jason, who plays for the Eagles, Travis talked about going to see the Eras Tour and how he tried to give Taylor his number. “I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs she sings. So I was a little butthurt that I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets that I made for her. If you’re up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are friendship bracelets and I received a bunch of them being there, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it. All right now.” Then, Jason asked Travis if he meant his jersey number or his phone number. Travis said, “You know which one. She doesn’t meet anybody and at least she didn’t want to meet me, so I took that personal. But it was an unbelievable show and I’ve only seen Arrowhead filled like that for Chiefs games with that much excitement, and yeah, vereybody was dressed in pink and purple and going crazy. It was a wild show.”

Then, a source gave The Messenger more information on the dating rumors. The source said, “She and Travis have hung out twice, and it’s nothing serious. She thinks he’s very charming, and they’ve been texting this last week. He’s a little embarrassed at how much attention they’re getting, but he’s told her that he’d love to continue seeing her. They’re seeing where things go. She’s in her fun girl era and strictly having fun right now.
