The Bermuda Triangle is one of the biggest unsolved mysteries in geography. Multiple planes and ships, 20 airplanes and 50 ships to be exact have gone mysteriously gone missing while going in this triangular area. The three tips that form this triangle consist of, Miami, Florida, U.S., San Juan, Puerto Rico (U.S. Territory), and Bermuda (U.K Territory). It’s located in the Atlantic Ocean and these occurrences have occurred starting from the mid-1800s. A lot of things have vanished and no wreckage has been found as well and rescue operations have gone missing as well. Well, what’s a possible theory this is happening?
One theory scientists have figured out is massive waves that destroy ships, as well as them reaching high destroying airplanes that fly within 100 feet of the ocean floor. Another theory that has been suggested is magnetic forces. Magnetic forces attract ships or planes nearby towards the ocean floor, causing them to go missing and never seen again. A third theory is waterspouts. These tornadoes underwater have been found off cities on the coast of Florida; smaller ones, however; can reach up to 125 mph which could cause operations to go missing too. Though there are many, many theories on what happens in the Bermuda Triangle, certain ones such as aliens or wormholes have a lower chance of being true and not very scientific.
According to the NOAA, the Bermuda Triangle has the largest amount of mysterious disappearing of any area in the ocean on Earth. Will scientists ever find an answer to this? Maybe, but chances are not too high. Though technology is increasing and our options are getting larger, this 500000 square mile area is one of the most notorious places on Earth and the mystery never gets old.
