This school year, Weddington High has a lot of exciting updates, including the addition of new staff members dedicated to supporting our students. Among these new faces is Ms. McGuire, who has joined our counseling team for the 2025-2026 school year! She will be serving as counselor for students whose last names begin with N-R. Ms. McGuire brings with her a strong dedication to guiding students toward both academic success and personal growth through one-on-one meetings that can be arranged through email and academic planning that accommodates each student’s needs. “I’m compassionate and I’m really passionate about helping students achieve their goals,” she shared. “I would like someday for students to come back and say, ‘Thank you Ms.McGuire, you really helped me with xyz.’”
Ms McGuire’s interest in counseling blossomed while earning her bachelor’s degree and actively working in numerous school environments.“I worked in schools and felt like that was my niche,” she explained.
Weddington High is excited to have Ms. McGuire join the Warrior family and looks forward to the positive impact she will make throughout this year and in the future!
