Every year, thousands of students from across the state gather at the Sheraton Four Seasons Koury Convention Center in Greensboro North Carolina, ready to connect, conquer, and compete.

With a diverse range of business events,…) During the 4 unforgettable days, Weddington DECA experienced business workshops, intense competitions, and tests as they hoped to advance to the international level of ICDC.

For a competitor Sarva Vohra who excelled in Hotel and Lodging Management this was an outstanding achievement as he remarked, “The Weddington Spirit and seminars were eye-opening and exposed me to new perspectives.” 

Overall, Weddington DECA was able to place 5th in the state, and had 9 finalists advancing to internationals of ICDC on April 27th, in Anaheim California.

One of the finalists, Sriya Vangala who placed 1st in Human Resource Management says, “One of the key takeaways i got from CDC was the importance of being adaptable, whether that’s during competition, going to workshops, or problem solving while testing its so important that you are ready to face any challenges. Overall, CDC was a great experience and I’m so glad I was able to go!”

With these distinct minds, Weddington DECA hopes to succeed next year again at the 2025 CDC.
