While most of us can agree that sitting at a desk all day is a familiar job, some have taken a more unique career path. You may be surprised that some of these jobs exist.

Yes, you read right, according to HumanMicrobes.org, you can earn $500 per stool donation for the USA and Canada-based stool donation network. The organization explains that the vast majority of the population is experiencing poor health and disruptions in their gut microbiome. In an effort to restore fecal-librium, Human Microbes is seeking individuals who are in good health and can be a high- quality stool donor. These people are then connected with doctors and others who need to rebalance their gut microbiome for health.
While this job seems pretty easy to do, becoming a donor involves more requirements than just donating poop. According to Human Microbes, they are looking for donors that are a part of the 0.1% of people that are exceptionally healthy to qualify. You are also required to take minimal antibiotic usage to not upset the body’s system. This criterion makes the process very selective. Despite screening “26,000 potential donors”, they are still insufficient with high-quality donors, hence the $500 per poop financial incentive.

The job requires a researcher tester with a doctoral degree to write a report and determine ways to develop pet food. These professional pet testers can earn between $34,000 to $100,000 per year. “ I think I could do this as a side hustle,” senior Shanmukhi Keesari expressed.

Professional cuddling sessions are a Rated G experience that will soothe your spirit and quiet your mind. Studies show that physical touch and intimacy can help with someone’s well-being. Physical touch can help regulate stress and can be a therapeutic experience, professional cuddlers can earn about $40-80 per hour.
These occupations may not be considered prestigious, but they from entry-level positions to those that require advanced levels of education and offer decent pay. Ashley Tartagli, a student at Weddington says, “No, I wouldn’t want to have any of these jobs because they seem like boring jobs to have.” These careers might not appeal to everyone, but upon reviewing this list, do any of these jobs pique your interest?
