On Friday, February 16, the Weddington High School Varsity Boys’ Basketball team had their final home game of the regular season against their biggest rival, the Marvin Ridge Mavericks. Senior night also took place before the games, and all of the seniors on the team were starters for the game.
Leading scorers were KJ Younger with 24 points, Aidan Cook with 17 points, and Grant Hamilton with 16 points.
Top rebounders were KJ Younger with 8 rebounds, Jack Ellyson grabbed 5 rebounds, and Noah Muteb grabbed 4 rebounds.
Jack Ellyson and Aidan Cook each had 6 assists, while KJ Younger had 4 assists.
