On game day, the stadium was filled with cheers and unwavering support. The Warriors emerged triumphant with a final score of 56-51, sealing their victory. Throughout the first quarter, Weddington took an early lead with a successful touchdown, and the pressures only got stronger. Grant Hamilton takes the lead, scoring 26 points, and Kj Younger also makes significant plays, securing 18 points. Together, their stellar performances underscore a formidable team effort. Aiden Cook, a senior athlete, has scored 10 points in this game, stating, “We’ve gone down big in multiple games, but we always come back. Our coach tells us to keep our focus and keep our composure, and we will.”
Butler High School managed to earn 16 points from a player; despite their great effort, Weddington’s stellar defense and offense proved to seal their dominance on the court.
