From skinny jeans, fitted tops, and wearing our Skechers all the time to baggy shirts over baggy jeans, jeans with heels, denim skirts, corset tops and many more, it seems like the style from the 90s and early 2000s are making a comeback.
Many adults in today’s age are wondering why these fashion trends are coming back into style and you can sometimes catch them shocked at seeing younger generations showing up in the clothes that they were called cringy for wearing.
This style is mainly seen by today’s generation Z, or Gen Z for short. Adults and sometimes many other kids wonder why the specific generation loves this style and nothing else. Well, it’s because of the vibe it gives off. Many think of it as a time where people were carefree and had the most fun in their lives. Almost like they’re trying to bring back a time when life was simpler.
Kendall James, a sophomore at Weddington High School, responded to this theory by saying “I believe that this style is going to stay because it is not only iconic, but comfortable as well.” Alexa McMillian, a junior at Weddington High School, acknowledged this theory in a different way by saying, “I think this style will eventually die out. Fashion comes and goes and people have a variety of new ideas and styles to try especially when a new TV show comes out like Euphoria. People end up dressing with whatever is “in” right now.”
With all these new ideas about how to wear your clothes and what to do with old clothes to turn them into something new, It sparks new ideas in people and makes them want to share these ideas, whether it’s a good idea or bad idea.
